Is it possible to nourish our cells without eating food?
After 1 month of orthomolecular fasting, I can confirm that it is possible, and we also avoid introducing countless toxic and chemical substances that are found in food.
I had tried almost every diet out there (vegan, macrobiotic, paleolithic, ketogenic, etc.), but I had never experienced a water-only fast.
I've been studying and delving into the benefits of fasting for almost a year, as well as the negative repercussions of not getting enough micronutrients, and after carefully analyzing the pros and cons, I decided to try a somewhat unusual fast.
Since I am passionate about orthomolecular medicine and nutrition, I thought about fasting, but providing each and every one of the micronutrients that our body needs, in this way I would avoid possible complications (gallstones, loss of bone density, decrease of vital energy to be able to perform physical and mental activity, etc.).
It took me two weeks to get the best supplements on the market, some of which were sent to me from the USA, given that things here are very poor in terms of quality and purity.
The adventure begins!
First days
The first week was the worst, since my body was used to getting energy from carbohydrates, and I had to wait for a metabolic adaptation to occur to use fats and ketone bodies (acetoacetate and B-hydroxybutyrate) as my main source of energy.
To be honest, those first few days were the worst (dizziness, low blood pressure, irritability, stress, headaches, etc.), but I understood that I had to be patient so that my body could adapt to a new physiological and biochemical situation.
By the second week, my mood began to improve; I felt calmer and more serene, a result of this perfect metabolic adaptation that I was carrying out in the most efficient way possible.
I started doing moderate physical activity to see how my body and mind would react to such a situation, and to my amazement, I found myself with more energy and vitality, and I was less tired than when I was eating!
Every day I had blood and urine tests (glucose, ketone bodies, hydration level, pH, vitC, % fat, muscle, etc.), and so I could correct on the fly any small micronutritional or hydration alterations that could harm my progress in orthomolecular fasting.
The only problem I encountered was with the fat, as it didn't even reach 8% when I started the experiment.
My calorie reserves through triglycerides were limited, so I was forced to provide fatty acids (saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated).
I calculated my caloric expenditure and energy intake to try as much as possible to avoid muscle catabolism and use fats as an energy source (lipolysis-beta oxidation versus neoglucogenesis through glucogenic amino acids).
Although it was not easy, I can say without a doubt that the exogenous supply of fatty acids together with the introduction of highly purified essential amino acids allowed my body to burn fat and very little muscle (protein catabolism).
From the second week onwards, I was exercising daily (yoga and Muay Thai), with an exceptional level of physical and mental efficiency, and happy and satisfied with this experience and sensation.
On an emotional level, I think it's been the best I've ever been in my life. I can't remember a state of calm, peace, tranquility, and vitality like the one I've experienced.
I suppose the fact that we don't add toxins and chemicals that are part of food (even organic food is loaded with toxic waste) had a lot to do with it.
I took the opportunity to perform a "real" liver detoxification, activating the hepatic Phase I and II, providing N Acetyl-Cysteine, Glutamine, VitC, Selenium,
Magnesium, Taurine, Molybdenum, and many other substances to put the great human laboratory called the “Liver” at 200% of its activity.
I'm sorry to tell you, my friends, that the detox programs being sold today as the solution to eliminating toxic and chemical substances are nothing more than a deception and manipulation, with the sole intention of making money at the expense of people's ignorance.
If you want to do a "real" Detox program, study the liver's detoxification phases in minute detail and provide it with all the micronutrients it needs to eliminate all the toxic metabolic waste.
In the third and fourth weeks I was able to experience one of the best sensations I have ever had in my life on a physical and psychological level (I was less tired, had more energy, recovered better, slept better, 0 muscle pains, etc.)
Even my attitude and character had improved!
My energy savings were greater, because burning fat produced almost 4 times more ATP molecules (energy) than glucose, added to the fact that I did not introduce toxic waste from the outside (through food) and did not invest energy in digesting food, my emotional state was spectacular!
Many people have asked me the following questions throughout the process: Aren't you hungry? I'm going to tell you something very interesting.
I only went hungry for the first few days, as from the second week onwards my cells became accustomed to using the ingested nutrients in a purified form, without having to break down food.
More than the physical need to eat, I realized there was a psychological need, because we are constantly covering up our emotional problems with food.
How many of you eat when you're feeling down, or when you're faced with a daily problem?
The vast majority use food as a drug to relieve their sorrows, anguish, stress, anxiety, fears, etc.
That false sense of relaxation and calm that comes from eating carbohydrates (and even more so when they are pure sugars—the worst drug there is), but which then causes more emotional disturbance due to the rise and fall of blood glucose levels, which constantly activates the adrenal glands, producing adrenaline, noradrenaline, and cortisol.
This has been the most interesting part of fasting, because I've had to confront each and every one of the problems that arose by boosting my emotional intelligence, since I couldn't push them away or cancel them out with a dose of carbohydrates that would increase my endorphin and neurotransmitter levels.
So, in addition to doing a physical cleansing and detoxification, I unexpectedly did an emotional cleansing and detoxification, emptying out all that internal garbage I'd been carrying around in my mind my entire life, preventing me from evolving as a human being.

Beyond what the puppets of the multinational pharmaceutical companies, who prescribe statins (with countless side effects) to anyone over 200, try to make us believe, there is another reality.
Cholesterol is necessary for many functions (production of hormones, vitamin D, bile salts, vital for the correct function of the cell membrane, etc.) and when there are health problems (pathologies and functional disorders) our own body produces it endogenously!
2/3 of it is produced by our body and only 1/3 comes from food, so isn't it understandable that in certain situations our body produces it?
Of course! These are my values after 1 month of orthomolecular fasting. High cholesterol and high LDL.
From the reductionist perspective of conventional medicine, this would be a problem, and they would make me believe it's a risk for cardiovascular disease, and as a gift they would prescribe me statins.
What logical explanation do we find in these values?
My body needed to produce hormones, vitamin D, repair and create new cells, etc., given that I was in a complex situation by not eating.
Don't let yourselves be manipulated by those at the top and try to escape the Matrix we've been subjected to since birth. Perhaps together, in the future, we can change the evolution of a medicine that, rather than preventing health, is interested in creating long-term chronic illnesses that will generate billions in profits for the pharmaceutical multi-mafia.
